Our experience at Root & Bone wasn’t necessarily bad, but rather exceedingly mediocre. The waitstaff was top notch and the ambiance is pleasant, with lots of fun, kitschy knick-knacks adorning the walls. Where things fell off was with the food. Nothing really lived up to the hype. The fried chicken was fine, but wasn’t really much better than what you’d get at Popeye’s, which is disappointing when the Chicken & Waffles is $20. I had the steak sandwich, and it was cooked well, and was rather tasty, but it was begging for a sauce of some sort. My son got the biscuits and gravy, and the biscuits were dense while the had an overpowering herb flavor that was just ruined the dish. Nothing was disgusting, but we expected so much more from the chefs behind this restaurant.

Root & Bone is a beautiful restaurant! The food quality is great. Biscuits were delicious, but only came 2 to an order. 😩 It would be great to see an expansion on their options for Vegetarians so that I know I can enjoy many visits with my family. The Staff is welcoming and service is quick!

Summary: the food is amazing. Cocktails are delicious, and the wine selection matches the food perfectly. About us: 10 yo couple having a dinner date. We suggest all dishes we tried; devilled eggs. Yes, the way they're supposed to be done! Carpaccio, very good. Impressive. Crab cake is fantastic, if you like crab, it's super crabby and is pretty much a dinner in itself. Short rib meatloaf. It was very well made. It's the weakest in the list, with a bit more toasty dry meat than I was expecting. But still very tasty. Banana pudin. Fabulous. Tasty and really big. For three people haha. Reizeling white wine is crazy good. Slow mot (t is mute) drink was also very delicious and balanced. Atmosphere was a bit noisy when we arrived. The place has restaurant quality food, so don't let the bistro's name and appearance deceive you. You'll have a blast!

A good restaurant to have brunch. The Fries with the Avocado Toast is delicious. The Biscuits are well made and go well with the Hot Honey.

Superb. Can’t go wrong with James Beard nominated chefs! We’ve been several times and their food is stellar! We love the deviled eggs (best I’ve ever had in my life!), the corn soufflé, the ribs, the waffles, the fried chicken. I don’t think there’s anything bad there. It’s a cute place. We always request Michael as our waiter, as he is outstanding. Impeccable service. They have a wonderful gluten free menu too!

Wonderful! Great creative food with a lovely warm atmosphere. Appreciate the vegetarian options that have as much thought as the other dishes. Amazing biscuits, seriously the best we’ve ever had! The best part about the experience though had to be the waitstaff, they were absolutely superb and anticipated our needs without even needing to ask (we had Michael). We will be back for another date night!

Two words: angel biscuits. Perhaps the most delicious biscuit I’ve ever had in my life. Excellent comfort food and a long list of delicious cocktails. Our server was wonderful and so helpful with recommendations. We will absolutely be going back!
